I can't be much help with the motor mounts, but unless you are using the transmission/bellhousing that came with the 400 engine, you will have another problem. The 302-351 Windsor and 351 Cleveland all use the 6 bolt "small block" bellhousing pattern.
The 351M "modified" is just a 400 modified by reducing the stroke by 1/2 inch for 351 CI,so the 351M and 400 share the same block, which has the same bellhousing pattern as the 429-460 engines. The 351 M and 400 has almost no parts that interchange with either the 302-351w-351c or the 429-460. I believe, heads, distributor and exhaust manifolds fit from a 351m-400 to a 351C 2bbl engine only.

Old licons had some 400s that probly got the correct mount. But depending on what your 400 is out off truck or car there is going to be oil pan clearance problems if it came out of a truck. The Bell Housing is going to be another proplem. It is just my thought is to find 302 or 351w . May save you money.one other thought might need a little larger radator.
