I would GUESS that someone has replaced an axle, or the whole hub and axle on one side, with one from a donor, or just simply sheared the studs off one side, from running it loose. But who knows, it's a Binder, and they were known to do strange things!

That number looks like an Eaton number. Do you know if is an Eaton axle? I will look tomorrow, as I have a couple of shafts that sound similar lying around.

Bob,
I'm not sure who made the axles. They do have a capital letter "E" in an elongated triangle cast in the flange as well. Would this suggest an Eaton product #? The spline end (10) on both has IHC and other illedgable numbers stamped in.

I'll look before noon this AM (CST) and post back if I find some 10 spline axle shafts. What is the bolt circle diameter, and the length of teh shaft, from the end of the splines, out to the machined face of the flange?

Bob,
The flange end has 6 holes of 7/16" dia. drill.
The flange is 4 3/4" OD
The hole circle is 4" dia.
Length, mach. face to end of spline is 34 1/2"
Shaft, at top of splines, is 1 3/8" OD
Spline is 2 3/8" over-all, and 1/8" deep

Thanks for looking!
