Most of the rigs with metal to metal and a caliper that won't slide off is due to the piston being stuck in the caliper bore and not releasing the pads, ala worn out brakes. Get a pry bar in behind the OUTER edge(between the caliper and rotor) of the caliper and make enough room for the grooves to clear. It'll slide right off. Think twice about saving all you can on brake parts, it's your life not a video game. Loren
