I'm wondering if anyone here is headed south to Florida in the next few weeks? I have a Triumph Bonneville frame at a friends place near Macon, GA that needs a ride to Orlando, FL. It's just the frame and a few bits, not a whole motorcycle, but you would need to be in a pickup or van to haul it. I can help you out with fuel costs and will give you the detailed Mopar tour of my barn when you arrive, including my vast stock of flathead Mopar parts. Many thanks and Happy Thanksgiving, Charlie.

We used to rebuild a lot of flathead Mopower engines in the machine shop where I worked in the 1970's. I remember one in particular, It was a six cylinder with over an inch of muddy grit all over, and about two inches of grit on top of the flanges where the oil pan bolts. I was chipping away the grit when I found a four inch long Snap On crescent style wrench. I still have that wrench along with several Craftsman wrenches the same size. When I got more cleaned off the engine I found a brass shell from a very large bullet used for a soft plug, and it looked like it worked quite well.

Charlie, What do you do with flathead Mopar parts? I have tons of flathead Mopar parts myself. I also have tons of flathead Ford parts. I'm thinking about tring to sale a few on ebay.
I've never had anyone ask about flathead Mopar parts. but then I've never told anyone I had them.

I do a lot of restoration work at my shop. I specialize in flathead mopars. Anything from stock to modified is ok by me.
