Off to the junk yard now, what are the odds of me finding a 1949 chevy in a San Diego junk yard??? :) As long as I can find something with five lugs, regardless of the bolt pattern I will have tripled my options for rims since they don't really offer car rims with six lugs. You could go to custom wheels like the old ET mags that had interchangable lug inserts so they could have 4-1/2---4-3/4 or 5 inch bolt circle. Also you could swap in an early Nova/Camaro rear axle with the 4-3/4 bolt pattern. They were narrow and made for leaf springs,so may be an easy swap into your Falcon. Another way is to use the front axle from an early(60's)Ford econoline van. They are a light weight beam axle with the same 4-1/2 bolt circle as the Falcon rear end.   [Reply]  [No Email]
