i would like to know if anyone has removed any leaf springs to lower the trucks front end?
it seems that eight leafs that two or three could be removed and still be safe to drive..has anyone have in infor. i well be running a straight six..

I'm not into lowered vehicles so don't have a clue.

I do seem to recall reading about some rodders placing the axle on top of the springs instead of under them. That would gain several inches of going lower, IF SAFE to do. Might check some truck rodding magazines about it.

Dropped spindles are usually the best choice. I would not pull any leaves out of a stack as this leaves them prone to breakage at the center bolt hole.

The better option if dealing with just the springs is to either match to a monoleaf used in other applications that have the same weight load and dimensions, or to take the springs to a spring manufacturer and have them "re-arched" in the direction you want them. They could probably set you up with a set of new springs to accomplish exactly what you want to do.

I have seen some foolish people try to do it with just a torch where they bent the eye of the main leaf, but this is such a bad idea I only mention it as a very bad idea.
