Need to change starting system and battery from 6 volt to 12 volt - what needs to be done? or where can I go to get the information...any help would be greatly appreciated.

1.) Starter will work without changes.

2.) Change all light bulbs and heater motor.

3.) Wipers are vacuum, right?

4.) Change coil to a 12-Volt unit (with ballast resistor, if needed).

5.) Find the power supply wire to the fuel gage, and power it through a voltage reducer. (I used a 6-Volt integrated circuit regulator, mounted on a scrap of aluminum, for a heat sink.)

6.) Connect up a 12-Volt alternator. The site linked below has a lot of info on that:
