I recently bought a 1961 Chevy Viking 50 2 ton with a 327 8 cylinder. It is in need of a over-haul and wonder if to take the engine out do i also need to remove the transmission with it. Also does anyone know where i could get a service manual for it. Thanks

No need to remove the transmission..just unbolt bellhausing from the engine, leave trans and bellhausing in the truck..don't know about the service manual..
