I don't know much about GM of those years.Back then I was doing my time working at a Ford dealership.Seen most one ton Fords come in as cab and chassis.Ford only offered a flatbed/stake body from the factory. When a new one tonner was delivered on the car carrier,it was already spoken for.All special ordered vehicles. Not a lot of people bought them back then. But then, most dealers didn't stock too many pick-ups back then either. Those cab and chassis trucks were sent to an after-market truck body shop. They came back as small dump trucks, tow trucks, utility body/service trucks, small van bodied trucks, etc.I can only remember seeing one single rear wheel one ton back then. They were almost exclusively all dual rear wheel. Life was a lot simpler back then when ordering a new truck. There just wasn't a whole lot of options to choose from.

I've got a 1975 GMC one ton with single wheels and a service body. I just replaced the rusted out service body with a much better one. I haven't got my compressor and rack back on yet. The duals gave the truck an additional 1,000 pounds GVW. Mine is 9,000 pounds GVW.

wjr, None!! Cab/chassis only. It was not till 1973 model yr did GM put a Dually pu bed on the C30.
The pre1973, 72 -> back, "Longhorn 30" was a regular nondually pu bed that had an additional 12ins. in length.
There is a website or two devoted to this particular section of GM trucks. If I have left anytine out, Someone jumpin and correct me, I will yeild.
Hope this helps.
Later,
John A.
