Lance 02-11-2007 19:33:49 204.110.228.254 23801 Report to Moderator	My truck battery cables are getting hotter than hell, when you try to start it drains the battery and both positive and negitive cables get very hot. Some of the cables out there are far too small to carry the load, and some are aluminum instead of copper. They should be a minimum of 4 gauge, and larger is better, such as 1 or 2 gauge like used on 6-volt. The only thing that will cook cables is a dead short. Some of the "rebuilt" starters are no good.
