Was wondering if anyone would know if its possible to fit a '49 GMC cab on a '97 Chevy S-10 frame. I'd like to use the S-10 chassis and powertrain. The '49 is a 3 ton and i've been told the cab is the same as a 1/2 ton. So I'm planning to downsize the '49. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The cab should be the same but the fenders are said to be a little bigger because of the tire size, might want to check that first. here is a link that will tell about the frame swap and you can also look at stovebolt dot com for more interchange stuff.
