I have found an old international truck in the woods that we bought. I would love to fix it up or give it to someone that would like it, but I have to find out about it first.
Name on door says C.N. Beverages Chicago Illinos
Tag says Model K500E-233A then in next box 99
Weight with cab load 9900.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. We live in Southwest Michigan.

Best I can tell, it's basically a K5...a 1-1/2 ton built from 1941-1946. And if I'm correct, it's also a COE, or cab-over-engine design...and the engine would be a Green Diamond, or GRD, 233 cubic inch flathead six. I'm guessing the 99 is the horsepower rating.

But I could be wrong. Might ask the folks at oldihc.org for a better answer.

That sounds interesting. I'm in Kalamazoo. It would be a shame to see it go to the junk yard, I see too much good stuff going to the shredder, but I don't have room for it right now. Just yesterday, as I was driving out of the junk yard someone was pulling a large chisel plow in.
