twin cylinders put enough fluid to raise the bed all the way up works good but when i let the bed down it pushes most of the fluid back out of the tank on to the ground. what could cause this? thanks R.E.Lee

Maybe you have trapped air in system on top of each cylinder should be a bleeder screw maybe you need to let it burp ,becareful when doing so a bed falling on you will ruin your day or cut you in half .

If a single action system, the tank may be to small. You may also need to relocate the tank vent to a higher point.

Some hoists are plumbed "double acting". When lowering , the pump needs to be running to pump oil to the backside of the lift cylinder(s). This makes use of the oil that would otherwise be returned to the reservoir and overflow it.

Are you running the engine and PTO while lowering the hoist?

If NOT, this could be what's causing the overflow, if your's is plumbed in this fashion. If it's NOT, it may need to be re-plumbed so it is.

Has the setup ever worked properly, or is the reservoir just simply too small? (Or simply overfilled?)
