Kruse 07-31-2009 10:56:44 12.187.51.218 32431 Report to Moderator	Spray it with P'Blaster, Kroil or Liquid Wrench for about a week ahead of time. Get the engine good and hot, then hit the distributor with something cold like a shot from a fire extinguisher or propane. (Years ago it was freon) You need to get the area of the distributor by the block good and cold. Tap the thing with a rubber mallot and try to turn it again. If nothing works, engine disassembly may be required to remove it by pushing from the bottom side. [Reply]  [No Email]

I think I would also consider gripping the distributor body with a strap wrench to try to turn it, after having given some time for the penetrating oil to work. If I couldn't break the distributor loose with the strap wrench, I would try a pipe wrench, however the pipe wrench would probably mar the distributor body and might even break it off.
