If ya put in new timing gear. You said the timing chain was sloppy loose so the new spark is likely advanced several degrees from the worn position. Yea the distributor is rusted in place and ya can't move it. Soak that raskel two times a day with penatrate. Or maybe break it down again and hammer it out so ya can move it.

I managed to get rid of the mis by re adjusting the valves. So now it actually runs pretty great. Still cant move the distributor, but I've only been soaking it for a couple of day's
