I agree with a lot of what Hal said.

But, having run a flathead as a daily driver in a 48 F1 for the past 10 years, they don't overheat if you do your homework. The block and radiator have to be super clean. Timing has to be correct. Do that - no problems.

To answer your question, I've included a link to Speedway. They show an adapter for using a C4 behing the flathead.

Might also check with www.flat-o.com

Use the flathead - people will want to see it. The sight, the sound, the character, etc.

Use an sbc and people won't bother you... lol
