Should have posted earlier today: seeking salvage yard(s) that would have steering column parts: turn signal cancel and the horn doesn"t work. Removed horn ring and broke plastic three-notch ring doing so. Horn contact brush is there. I have the shop manual volume two/three and I am referencing pages 15-9 and 15-10. Is this contact plate that is identified the mechanism that cancels the turn signal? If I put a volt meter on the contact brush that has the spring attached to it, should I get a reading? I polished up the copper tip. Removed nut and looks like I will have to get a puller for the wheel. With about a 1/2 inch gap between bottom of steering wheel and the "collar" that contains the plastic piece I see moving when I flip the turn signal, is something missing? Wanted to post a picture, but the camera batteries are down. Only one horn and should have duals. Probably had better leave it sit for now as I don"t have any way to clear roaming deer other that holler. Thanks in advance for any input.
