I had issues with my '67 when I got it. Over the years, people had used all different assortment of bolts to use a puller on. But on my brother in law's 70 F100, 2 of the bolts that came with the steering wheel puller fit no problem.

you don"t need a puller to remove a ford steering wheel... i"ve pulled hundreds over the years and never used a puller...loosen the nut until even with shaft..put both knees under steering wheel pushing up..set brass hammer on shaft and strike brass hammer with a heavy ball pein... never had it fail and no damage either...

your local auto parts store should be able to loan/rent you a puller designed just for steering wheels - good luck!
