I just bought a 1972 school bus on a c-50 frame. Driving it home it had more slack in the steering than I would like. I checked tie-rods etc and the slack seems to be in the box itself. The bearings don"t have any slack. I know there was some slack adjustment on this era vehicles, but have never dug into a chevy of this size. It by the way is hydraulic assist.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hank
