I have a1960 B-61 mack.I am wanting to remove the steering wheel.I see the small holes in the side of the wheel hub and wonder if they play any roll in it's removal,If not how do I get the thing off.I tried to remove the center cap,or horn button but it is on tight and I don't want to break it trying to pry it off.HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. STEVE.

yes after you get the horn button assembly off there is a big nut, remove it, then use a steering wheel puller to remove the wheel, you just might get lucky and be able to brace your knees under the wheel and while leaving the big nut on a few turns to prevent thread damage smack the nut with a hammer but on a b model which probably hasnt had the wheel off in years if ever, i wouldnt bet on that working, use the puller

Push down hard on the horn button then turn it to the left, sort of like taking the lid off a jar of pickles.
