Would it take much to put a 460 ford in a 1962 -F-100 pickup? Has a 240 inline six cylinder and i need more power to play with. thanks in advance

are you sure its a 240 in there? the first year for a 240 was 1965..in 1962 the six was 223.. if in fact its a 240, a 300 six will bolt in with out changing anything and you could pep up the 300 easy..
if you really want the 460, its an easy swap..
years ago i put a pontiac v8 in a 1964 f100 and it was easy...

There are several companies out there to help you out. Google "Trans Dapt" and go to the motor mount section to get you started. Exhaust kits are also available from other companies.
Make sure you also look at your brakes because you will need more brakes to play with also.

fab motor mounts and maybe tranny crossmember, throttle linkage rad hoses ect, to make it much easier, get the tranny that is behind the 460, 99.9% sure the 62 tranny wont work on the 460 bellhousing

it should be easy but you will have to weld or bolt different motor mounts to the frame
