Just aquired a flathead lincoln yesterday - anyone know where to find info and parts for it?? I have a 255 mercury and parts were no problem. Just searching for info makes my head swim - no info on google - need somewhere to start.
Thanks in advance.

Egge machine has many parts for the 337ci Lincoln. And has facilities to make pistons, rebuild oil pumps. All around shop.
Google Egge Machine shop.
Parts for all kind of nostalgia engines

Next time you"re in town pick up a copy of Hemmimgs Auto News...it"s a thick brown-cover "magazine" (more like a 3/4" thick catalog)...it"s the bible of the old-car hobby, with more replacement stuff than you dreamed of. Good luck.

I still have one of those sitting in a storage shed where it has been for 30 years.
Ford used the Lincoln flathead V8 in the larger trucks. Mine was a 48 model F8. The old flathead was developing some pretty bad overheating problems along with being quite worn, so I repowered the truck with a Ford OHV 332 FE series engine. I was supprised that the later V8 had less torque and little more power than the "Hotrod Lincoln". Looked about 1-1/2 times the size of the little Ford flathead motor. :-)
