Ford used the Lincoln flathead V8 in the larger trucks. Mine was a 48 model F8. The old flathead was developing some pretty bad overheating problems along with being quite worn, so I repowered the truck with a Ford OHV 332 FE series engine. I was supprised that the later V8 had less torque and little more power than the "Hotrod Lincoln". Looked about 1-1/2 times the size of the little Ford flathead motor. :-) [Reply]  [No Email]
