We had a 1947 KB-5, and it too had the mighty GRD-214. The only time you could ever get up to the speed limit, no matter what it was, was going downhill at full throttle.

One has to remember when they were built 45mph was almost race car speed,LOL. Most roads were 30mph was fast not to mention a loaded truck, mike
