NH, If the axle is broke near the spline and a clean break it can be welded, use LH 70 with a stick welder or a wire feed works well. Just spend a little time lineing it up the best you can, with it veed out and tacked together pree heat 5 or 600 degres keep it hot while welding, make the weld wider than the break and the diameter of the weld should be a little larger than the axle, heat it a little hotter 7 or 800 deg. and cool it slow.
I have in the past, 1940 and 1950es. had good luck welding truck axles just drive easy until you can get a new one
