I have a model L-152 series truck that I am restoring but placing a newer engine, transmission, and braking system into for more of an everyday driver and most of the original parts are worn out. Any tips on interchangeability or easy modifications please let me know. I am particularly interested in how to remove the old vacuum type brake system and go to a more modern system. Many Thanks!

I know of only two types of boost for hydraulic brakes, vacuum, or hydraulic pressure from the power steering pump. They would be somewhat matched to the size of vehicle. A half ton p-up wouldn't need as much boost as a tandem dump or box truck.

Speedway race parts has a large assortment of modern brake boosters, that is easy mounted and should work good on antique trucks.
