I have a 1968 FWD tractioneer 6x6 with the axle under the cab. Let a friend drive the truck and broke the steering gear box, tried to turn without moving at all. I haven"t had any luck finding any parts at all and did find one reman in CA for $960 even though I"m in OH. They had to put this box in other trucks and I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Has a Ross TE71034BB I think or a TE705999? The arm that broke inside that goes from the worm gear inside to the drop down I can read that part number very well TE70498B. Very desperate and really don"t want to spend another grand on the truck. Just barely got it pushed off the road and has been sitting there a month plus. Please HELP!! Guess this is what happens when you buy a truck you have never seen another one like it.

Try calling Erickson. They have some older stuff laying around.
