I have a 82 chevy luv regular cab 2wd with the 2.2 diesel! The motor is in great shape but the truck ain"t and I"m thinking about swapping it into a 80"s model s-10 if anybody has any points let me know! Will the motor mounts work for the 2.2 on the s-10 meaning will I be able to drop the motor in and bolt it up? Can I bolt a s-10 transmission to the 2.2 diesel! Is it much trouble to pull the project off?

The engine is an iszuzu, s10"s that came with them had special mounts, and the trans also has to be iszuzu.

Not right sure, but some S10's had the Isuzu gas engine.
