I don"t believe there was a factory supplied PTO on the 4 speed syncho-silent transmission used with the 254" big six. The 1951 Dealer Handbook doesn"t show the stake bed having provision for dump capacity, and the chassis parts catalog shows only the standard SAE six bolt mounting cover plate for a PTO. Most likely a PTO driven dump bed would have been an aftermarket or dealer installed item. My 1952 copy of the Hildy"s Blue Book of Special Equipment For Ford Trucks shows 15 companies that were approved suppliers of PTOs. Stu

Thanks for the reply. I have found a Chelsea PTO model number that will fit and have tried several Chelsea PTO suppliers for the parts, no luck yet.

The Borg warner T98 Tans, was used in Ford, Dodge, and International trucks

40'late 50's.

See link for Trans kits and info.

Might help narrow your search.

I know the Canadian Dodge Military M37 used a T98 also.

It was called a "Acme T98 PTO"

Very hard to find.
