I used one of those balance plates on a 400SB with a small diameter neutral balance flywheel in my dirt track race car. It worked good and was a cheap / easy way to balance a 400SB.

Thanks. Was it close enough as is with the plate or did you unbalance your flywheel assembly to match the old?

It(the balance plate) seemed dead on, a very smooth running engine. Should be a cheap easy way to put the large bus / truck flywheel on a 400SB.
