Thanks for the response Obsoelitist, He's not a serious off roader just a dumb bored kid in a small town looking to have fun like we all were once. Can anyone help me understand why you would have a locking hub on the left front if it don't lock anything.

Normal operation for the common 4X4 trucks due to the diff and how they work. Like with any common car or truck that is 2 wheel drive if one tire spins the other will just sit there and that is how things work. On a 4X4 you just have one more tire that will spin and if both front and rear have one tire spinning your dead in the water. Not if you have a posi track system then that is a different story
