don't have my dodge anymore and my service manual doesnt show the 2wd cross member, in all the vehicles ive seen its not possible to install the cross member backwards and have all the holes line up,that beind said, my experience is that 2wd dodges are hard on ball joints especially if there packing a diesel engine i went thru 2 sets on my truck in 250,000 miles, steering death wobble is caused by either worn ball joints, or the steering stabilizer being worn or tie rod ends worn, carefully check these items, a heavy vibration felt in the seat at speed can be caused by worn u joints, [also goober dropping the bearing cup and leaving the needle bearings out that he lost] a worn out carrier bearing will cause that too, as will a broken cord in one of the tires
