What are all the things I need to do to convert from a 6 volt electrical system to a 12 volt system and convert back to a negative ground on the battery ?

You can leave the starter 6v unless you can find a 12v easily.

Change all bulbs.
Wiper motors, heater motor if applicable.

(resistors don't work well with these)

Add a resistor to the fuel gauge power.

Switch the wires on the Amp Gauge,

Switch the wires on the Ign. Coil and add a Ballast Resistor

Change to 12v Gen. and Regulator or use a 12v Alt.

Change to 12v Battery and reverse the cables.
