With out seeing the disk form both sides I will have to agree with the other guy and you have the flywheel side towards the pressure plate and if you have it that way it will NEVER release. I learned that the hard way years ago on a 1972 GMC pickup. Many new clutch disk will even have right on them the words flywheel side
