I have an 89 ford F-150 with T-18 trans an 300 inline L6 engine.

I'm going to change the drive train lube and was just wondering If the new thin lubes now used in our 8N's that actually have better friction qualities than the older Greases, why won't they work in my T-18 4 speed?

Thanks

Jack

Just a 80/90 gear oil is fine

I would go with either 50 Wt motor oil or 80-90 GL4 transmission oil.
NOT GL5 anything. Ford IH and Jeep used the T18.

I would not use a UTF because there made for things that go slow. I would use the newer 85W-140 in it if I where you. Just checked my 1980 Chev not long ago and put in the 85W-140 oil
