I have a 1963 Ford F250 with a 292 v8 and 4 speed transmission. It also has 4:88 gears, which means it likes 40-45 mph. I need to switch out the rear end to make it more comfortable on the highway. I need advice what gear ratio to look for. I already know how to decode the vin tag. Thanks!

For me 3.54 or 3.73 would be what I would look for.
I think Dana 60 had 2 different carriers depending on ratio. So 3.54 gears might not fit 4.88 carrier.

3.56 or 4.10 When going past 1973 r/a gets wider.
