Not sure how close your 90 is to my 2000 long bed. When I replaced the fuel pump I removed the bed. Seem to remember the fill tube was only held to the bed by 3 screws accessed through the gas cap cover. Bed is held on by 6 bolts, using a wobble socket + extension in a 3/8 impact gun made it fairly painless. Fill tube will fall back out of the way once it is loose from the bed.

Used my loader to lift the bed off the truck. Parked it as centered as I could judge then used 4 straps from the tie down hooks in the corners of the bed. With bed off you have easy access to the whole fuel tank and plumbing.

Did the whole job by myself and I am 72.
