I"m trying to remove the governor on my 1600. I changed the holley carb to a simpler version with a hot air choke. If I plug the lines coming from the governor drive on the distributor will the distributor still work properly?

I doubt it - all of the experience I have had with those is that when you try unplugging it kills the juice to ththe plugs. I gave up and lived with the governor at 57 miles and hour.
