Taking apart a unit bearing hub

I took apart one of my old unit bearing hubs that I had replaced. More so for curiosity than anything. Quite simple inside, ball bearing in a nylon cage with minimal grease. I don't see why if the bearings aren't bad, galled or flat why one couldn't repack them with some good wheel bearing grease and press the assembly back together and reuse it. Has anyone tried this?

I have never taken them apart and greased them, what I do is force grease past the seal. I would think what you are doing should work.
