2 speed rear swap

i have ford L600 with a 5 speed trans. i have been offerd a truck that is junk but has a 2 speed rear(which i realy want). the problem is that my truck is 24000 gvw and hyd brakes and the other is 33000 gvw with air brakes, it is a L900 i believe.are the backing plates and stuff interchangable or does anyone else know of any other potential problems i could run into.
