Here goes. It was probably a Maxidine 300 diesel if it was dsl from factory. The presence of a 10 speed Rockwell certinely indicates that. Most of the gas rigs that were built in those years were equipped with what was called as triplex or quardoplex tranny. Two boxes, two sticks. The drivers of them didn't have time to wave , they were too busy grabbing gear sticks.

I'm not particularly a MACK fan however I will concede they built an excellent truck. IMHO they even competed with the old Sterling line that was shut down in 1940 or so.
