IH usually put the model number along the left front frame rail in front of or right behind the rear spring hanger. IH would make most anything a customer wanted. Most fire engins & buses were IH chassis & a body builder made the body. Alot of fire engines used the Lycoming engine, usually a straight 8 cyl. If you can get a model number, I may be able to get more info.
