two questions

First
just finished rebuilding the brakes on my '53 chevy 3/4 ton and wondering if I sould use DOT3 or DOT5 brake fluid?
Second
Does anyone know if that year truck ever had a flat bed? I am not really interested in keeping the truck original--want something I can use and I think a flat bed has more use.
any thoughts?
