1956 Chevy Cameo Vin #

I am about to buy a 1956 Chevy Cameo. The guy said the vin # was V3A56S014526. Is there any way to verify that this is indeed a original Cameo? I do not want to spend big bucks if this is a regular 1956 truck with a Cameo bed added later (to pass it off as a original Cameo). Thanks for any help/advice that you might have.
