The Pontiac was a different animal than the Chevy 6, but did resemble it in some ways. One big difference is the Chevy had the camshaft in the block, no provision for a cam at all in the Pontiac OHC block, the engine was available in a Sprint package too, with Quadrajet carb, and split exhaust manifold, in a Tempest or a Firebird, would really haul the mail.
