Ford came out with a special tool that made putting those seals in easier. It was too easy to ruin them if one got a little heavy handed during install. And like Grumpy said, get a copy of the Ford service manual pages and follow the install and axle nut torque to the letter. Having the seals fail after low miles and light use isn't normal.
