I've got a 81 Crown Vic that's still good to go with about 170,000 on it. I did put crank bearings in it about 2-3 years ago. Outside of normal oil changes, battery and tire wearouts, it's had 1 starter and 1 alternator. The ignition module has never gone out so I have one in the trunk anyway. The 89 F150 has tripped the odometer twice and shows 66,000 now. It's had crank bearings but no rebuild. It uses a quart of oil on a 4,000 mile oil change interval. The OD auto tranny has'nt ever even had a fluid change. I like a 302. They don't get very good fuel mileage but they do stay moving with little effort.
