That's a good point, burrhead... at the cummins shop I worked at, they could look up the origional CPL by the serial number, but it was common enough that the CPL had been changed due to a rebuild or an 'uprate'. And of course the counterbores could've been cut at some point. It might be best to get the part numbers right off the pistons and liners to be sure.
