headers

ive got a question about putting headers on my truck. ive heard from some people that its fine to have headers on during the winter and from others that it will warp the valve stems my truck is an 89 chevy 6 lug 2500 with a 350 i was just wondering about it because when i get the money i would like to get headers on it.
