My friend has a 1970 GMC 3/4 ton (curbside or fleet side style) Camper Special with an 8 1/2 box. Got a few questions here and hope someone can help:

1. Can the wood bed be replaced without lifting off the box itself?
2. What is the thickness of the replacement wood?
3. Are patterns available if a guy was to replace it himself?
4. Is a guy better off buying a replacement wood kit or doing it himself?
